'Cake Time'
An important part of my job as a wedding photographer is being able to capture those unexpected moments and reactions and Cat & Joe’s wedding at the stunning Over Barn in Gloucestershire certainly had it’s fair share. This moment where the bride was going to feed the groom some cake ended in a full on cake fight with both bride and groom having a face full of cake! I love this shot of Joe’s reaction, it’s all the moments like this which make for an unforgettable wedding. As a Gloucestershire-based wedding photographer, I am privileged to witness and document the most beautiful and genuine moments of love, laughter, and, yes, tears. This photograph taken at the beautiful Lyde Court in Herefordshire perfectly encapsulates the raw emotion that unfolds during heartwarming wedding speeches.
In the midst of the joyous celebration, wedding speeches often emerge as one of the most emotional segments of the day. They are the time when heartfelt words are spoken, and the love between the couple and their closest friends and family is palpable. 'I’m forever blowing bubbles'
If you are looking for an alternative to confetti, look no further……how cool is this shot from Beth and Chris’ wedding at Leigh Park Hotel of all their guests blowing bubbles around them. As well as being fun and eco-friendly, bubbles are so mesmerizing and enchanting for people of all ages. The bubbles really added an ethereal touch to an already amazing wedding day and there was really something charming about seeing them floating through the air so if you're considering a unique and delightful twist to your wedding celebration, consider the charm of bubbles. 'Stunning Urban Wedding Venue, Blackfriars Priory'
Blackfriars Priory is a stunning 13th Century Medieval Priory site located in the heart of Gloucester City Centre. Originally built as a monastery, the priory has a rich history and has been used for a variety of purposes over the centuries including a school, a prison and a museum. Today, it has been restored to its former glory and is a sought-after wedding venue in Gloucester.
The beautiful Blackfriars Priory blends historical features with contemporary design, creating a stunning and unique wedding venue that always produces amazing wedding photography. With its beautiful medieval architecture and tranquil setting, this venue is a truly magical location that will make your wedding day unforgettable.

'A Truly Magical Wedding Day'
I recently had the privilege of capturing the enchanting wedding of Leona & Josh who had their ceremony at the absolutely stunning Gloucester Cathedral and after a magical photoshoot around the grounds and fun drinks reception with their family and friends they all went on to the charming Blackfriars Priory, just a short walk away, to continue their celebrations.
Gloucester cathedral is a masterpiece of medieval architecture, a truly extraordinary setting for a wedding. Its soaring arches, stunning stained glass windows, and ancient corridors create an ambiance of timeless beauty and elegance. You may be interested to know that Gloucester Cathedral served as one of the filming locations for the Harry Potter movies, adding an extra layer of enchantment to its already magical atmosphere. The corridor where this beautiful shot was captured is the very same one where Harry and his friends roamed in the films, making it a fantastic choice for all you Harry Potter fans out there.
The ceremony in the cathedral's historic nave was filled with emotional vows and heartfelt speeches with the cathedral's awe-inspiring architecture creating a backdrop that was nothing short of spectacular. The grandeur of Gloucester Cathedral added a sense of timelessness and grandeur to the day, definitely making it a wedding to remember.

This shot captures pure emotion from Carrie & Tom’s beautiful wedding ceremony at The Old Lodge in Minchinhampton. Following on from the beautiful engagement shoot in the Gloucestershire countryside, the wedding day of Bethany & Isabelle at The Grange hotel in Bristol truly was a day of happiness and joy. One of the most stunning wedding venues in Gloucestershire and one of my very favourite to shoot at has to be Elmore Court. With its enchanting architecture, beautiful gardens and rich history, Elmore Court is a wedding venue like no other. The venue has been carefully restored and renovated to preserve its historical character and beauty while also incorporating a modern feel so it truly is the perfect setting for a magical and unforgettable wedding day. My style of wedding photography is very much focused on those natural, candid moments which truly capture all the different moments from across your day. My ability to be in the right place at the right time while not interrupting the flow of the day allows me to preserve all those memories and each unique photo tells its own stories. So many of my couples comment on how lovely it was to see moments of genuine connection between their friends and family captured which show how much everyone was enjoying the day especially at parts they weren’t there. 'Nothing like a game of bananagrams at a wedding!!'
This looked like so much fun and definitely produced some fantastic images and laughs. I have seen such a variety of different fun and games at weddings over the years including piggy-back races, tug-of-war, quoits, bouncy castles, inflatables and giant Jenga all which provide an extra exciting element to your wedding especially to keep your guest occupied while we are getting those beautiful couple’s portraits or that sunset photoshoot. 'Bringing joy and laughter to every moment'
Getting ready on your wedding day is one of the many memorable and special parts, surrounded by your closest and oldest friends, its a time to laugh, reminisce about the hen do and have fun. Capturing the joy and excitement of the bridal party preparation stage always makes for amazing natural, candid images as well as those beautiful stylised shots having your hair and makeup done and of course those first champagne toasts of the day. This bridal prep shot was taken in the morning of Cat & Joe’s wedding before we headed to The Holy Innocents Church in Highnam for the wedding ceremony followed by a super fun filled reception at Over Barn in Gloucestershire.
