About my Photography Style

Hi, I'm the Phil in Philtography 😊, a Gloucestershire based wedding photographer shooting weddings all over the UK and also destination weddings abroad.

While my academic background is in astrophysics, in which I earned a Master’s Degree from Lancaster University, my love and passion for photography led me to pursue a career in wedding photography and I’ve never looked back!

When I'm not shooting weddings, I'm often out exploring the great outdoors with my wife and dog, pursuing our love for nature whether it be hiking or camping. I also enjoy travelling and seeing the world and everywhere I go my trusty camera comes too so I can capture those stunning landscapes we discover along the way. In addition to my camera, I also love to fly my drone to get those amazing cinematic aerial shots.

As a self-proclaimed tech enthusiast, I'm always up-to-date with the latest advancements in the industry. When I'm not capturing love stories, you'll often find me putting computers together either for myself or some of my friends and family or indulging in my love for sci-fi movies and TV shows. I still try to play football when I can and I am also a big fan of F1.

I'm outgoing, easy to talk to and friendly. What I love most about being a wedding photographer is connecting with people and capturing the special moments that they will treasure forever. Kids are also a joy to work with at weddings, and I love incorporating their playful energy into my shots.

It means the world to me when my clients leave lovely reviews, saying how much they love my photos and how easy-going I was on the day. I take great pride in creating beautiful images that exceed my clients' expectations and seeing them use my photos as their profile picture is the ultimate compliment and gives me a great sense of achievement.
